Privacy Policy

This policy covers two things: this website (quantvar.co) and "Quant VAR Postiz", the internal tool we use to schedule our own videos to our own social media accounts.

1. This website

This website is a set of static pages. It has no user accounts, no forms, no advertising and no analytics or tracking cookies set by us. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.

2. The Quant VAR Postiz tool

Quant VAR Postiz is a self-hosted installation of the open-source scheduling software Postiz. It is used only by the Quant VAR team to publish Quant VAR's own videos to Quant VAR's own accounts on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and X. It is not offered to the public, and no one outside the team can sign up for it or connect an account to it.

Data the tool handles. When we connect one of our own accounts, the platform gives the tool an access token and basic profile information for that account (such as the channel name, account ID and profile picture). The tool also stores the videos, titles and captions we upload for publishing.

How the data is used. Only to upload and schedule our own posts and to show us the status of those posts. We do not read, collect or store data about other people's accounts, viewers, followers or subscribers through this tool.

Where the data is stored. On a computer that we operate. Access tokens are not shared with or sold to anyone. Videos and captions are sent only to the platform we are publishing to.

Retention and deletion. Tokens are kept while an account stays connected and are removed when we disconnect it. Access can also be revoked at any time from the platform's own settings, for example the Google security settings page.

3. Platform services

The tool uses YouTube API Services. By using them, we are bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. The tool also uses the Instagram API from Meta, the TikTok Content Posting API and the X API, each under that platform's own terms and privacy policy.

4. Children

This website and our content are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

5. Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
